UV-LED Lamp

The UV-LED lamp offers the following advantages:

  • The water is not heated during treatment.
  • Its compact design allows for installation even in confined spaces. For example, the UV lamp can easily be fitted next to the PI®-Power Compact unit in your kitchen cabinetry.
  • LED technology is particularly energy-efficient and requires no chemicals. This is a significant advantage from an environmental perspective.
  • Installation is very simple and requires no technical knowledge.
  • The UV-LED system is more environmentally friendly than conventional UV lamps as it contains no mercury. This eliminates the risk of environmental pollution from this highly toxic heavy metal.
  • Certified to UNE 149101 – tested for safe use in drinking water treatment.

Purification process

The UV LED lamp has a built-in automatic switch that is activated during water flow and deactivated when the system is idle. The operating status is indicated by an LED.

UV-LED lamp installation

Image

The UV-LED lamp is installed after the Direct Flow reverse osmosis system and before the PI®-Cell Vitalizer.

It is essential to ensure that the flow direction is correct. The inlet is on the side where the power cable is attached.

The connections use the John-Guest connector system. The pipe between the Direct Flow reverse osmosis unit and the PI®-Cell Vitalizer must be cut cleanly at a 90° angle. When connecting the parts, a little force must be applied to ensure the connections are tight.
